Real Work
SBCS Employment & Education programs offer a continuum of employment, education, training and community building opportunities that are aimed at engaging individuals who have the potential to be employed in some capacity. Founded on the firm belief that everyone has the right to work, the organization recognizes that the pathway to employment is unique to each individual. Programs and services are geared to individuals who may have multiple barriers to employment because of mental health issues, trauma, poverty, addictions, lack of literacy and previous involvement with the justice system. The Employment & Education team works from a strengths perspective, supporting individuals to uncover their hidden gifts and reach their full potential so that they may access meaningful employment.
