"I worked at Dominion during a co-op placement in high school. I really liked the job. I needed help at first, but I caught on. When I came to New Beginnings in April 2005, I told the Career Counselor I wanted to work in a grocery store as a career.
I had my first job placement at Sobey's, which gave me experience and helped me be more friendly- I was really shy at first.
The next placement I had was at Coleman's. The people there are really friendly- they liked me and I liked them. Whatever needed to be done, I did it. I ended up being able to do it myself, without any help. In November, Coleman's hired me."
