Just Us Women's Centre Anti-Shoplifting Group
An 8 week psycho-education group for women who want to stop shoplifting will begin on October 3rd at the Just Us Women’s Centre, a program of Stella Burry Community Services.
With the goal of prevention of further shoplifting, the group is designed to help women understand their behavior and develop tools and strategies to cope with triggers, emotions and shame associated with shoplifting. An assessment will be required for any women wishing to attend the group.
Following the psycho-education group, a therapeutic group will be offered for women who would like to continue to receive support from other women. Completion of the education group is required to attend the therapeutic group.
